Creation and its lessons

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Genesis 1:1-2

There was nothing good to be said of the earth at this point. It was shapeless, empty and dark. But one thing we know is that the Holy Spirit was on it. That is enough. There were pretty Saturn, giant Jupiter and innumerable stars and planets. However God chose the earth. He was not put off by the unpromising sight of the earth. God saw the earth we see now before it was formed.

Sometimes things might look unpromising, require a lot of work or out of shape. Yet we should not lose hope of what God can bring out of it. Our life issues are hardly enormous as the earth was; formless, empty and dark. The same God is our father, the same spirit is in and around us and we have a saviour who loves us to death (literally), who ever live as our priest and lawyer. The earth had not this but look what it came out of it and we can not get enough of it.

God still could bring out of our messy life a beautiful, glorious and masterpiece. The creation week was written for our encouragement. Thus, let us be patient as God works in our life and situations step by step and let us not faint at the look of our situation. With God all things are possible! Remember the Almighty God took a week to build the earth. He could have done it in a day.

For those who are following the vision of God, the same applies. The task could seems daunting yet be encouraged and work with him step by step. The challenges should not overwhelm us but draw closer to God and draw from his strength and wisdom. Glory to God!
